Britari Awards
The BRITARI GRASSROOT ENTREPRENEURS AWARD is an initiative of the Britari International Foundation, to recognize and celebrate the remarkable contributions of young entrepreneurs, visionary executives, working to uplift the underserved against all odds.
“To motivate and inspire enterprising young leaders. The core of Britari Grassroot Entrepreneurs Awards is to promote Entrepreneurship among young people”.
Award Categories
Britari Grassroot Entrepreneurs Award 2025
1st Category- Rising Star Award
Small Business Entrepreneurs who started their businesses without any external support and are determined to grow the ventures from zero to hero.
The Entrepreneurs are in no particular order and will be getting cash gift of upto N500,000 and a free mentorship training from the founder of Britari International Foundation.
2nd Category- Trailblazers Award
This category is for gowing businesses that have overcome early challenges and are now scaling.
This category will feature Entrepreneurs with at least two employees, business operating for 2 – 5 years, proven market traction and local impact.
3rd Category - Visionary Leader Award
This category is for established CEOs making significant impact across sectors and borders.
Criteria: Young leaders mentoring others, influencing policy or innovation, international recognition and sustainable impact.
Who's Eligible?
To qualify for the Britari GrassRoot Entrepreneurs Awards 2025, applicants must meet the following:
Must own a micro or small business operating in Nigeria.
Business must be at least 1 year old as of January 2025.
Applicant must be between 18 and 45 years old.
Business must be at least 70% owned by the applicant.
Business registration with CAC is an advantage but not mandatory.
Must show evidence of positive impact in the local community.
Business must show potential for growth or expansion.
Business having more than 2 employee, an added advantage.
Applicants must be available for an interview or pitch session if shortlisted.
Previous winners are not eligible to apply again.

A 1–2 minute video introducing yourself and your business.
A one-page business summary (PDF or Word)
Optional: Photos or documents showing your business in action
Submission Deadline
All applications must be submitted by July 31, 2025 (11:59 PM WAT).
Late applications will not be accepted.
